“ there’s been a murder …”. No, not another series repeat of Taggart, but a historical look-back at the notorious Crieff slaying of 1874 performed by our own Jeffrey ( that’s the presentation of course, not the murder ). In a comprehensively researched prospectus on the homicide, Jeff gave a ‘ blow by blow ’ account of the murder that shocked Crieff and took us through an extensive and forensic examination of the facts leading to the eventual arrest of the culprit and his ultimate fate ( he was sent down for a long stretch… i.e. they hung him ). Good historical fare by Jeff. Vote of thanks given by our other former ‘ Peeler ’, John Greer.
