The Rotakids’ committee at Whitchurch Primary School had lots of fun preparing and decorating the Assembly Hall with flags, balloons and colourful tablecloths in preparation for the Coffee Morning held to raise money for the Macmillan Cancer Support Team on Friday 17th March .
This was the Rotakids’ community project and they decided that all parents, grandparents and guardians should be invited. The Rotakids enjoyed chatting to those who attended and encouraged them to enter the competition - Guess the number of ‘100s and 1000s’ that had been sprinkled as topping onto a sponge.
The school choir and the brass and string group entertained the audience.
Mr Lomax also invited anyone who wanted to accompany him on a tour to see the rest of the school.
An enjoyable morning was had by all and donations of £300 was collected for The Macmillan Cancer Support Team who do an amazing amount of work in our communities.
