On Thursday 6th April the Rotary Club of South Queensferry held a business meeting in the Hawes Inn. This was followed by the Annual General Meeting.
The club approved the donation of £500 towards the relief of famine in East Africa. International Convenor Grainger Falconer announced that the sum would be allocated through Care International which was co-ordinating the relief support.
ROTARY HELPS CHRISTMAS IN KIRKLISTON
The prospect of a bright Christmas in Kirkliston received a boost when the Rotary Club of South Queensferry agreed to donate £2,500 towards the purchase of new Christmas lights.
CLASSIC CARS AT HOPETOUN
The Rotary Club of South Queensferry is holding a Charity Classic/Vintage Car Show on Sunday 24th September at Hopetoun House. President Graham Leith said, ' This is a great new opportunity for the club to raise funds for good causes and add another event to the Queensferry calendar. We are grateful to Lord Hopetoun and the management of Hopetoun House for offering us their splendid facilities and to Rotarian David Hull and his team for co-ordinating this initiative.'
