Gurkha Lunch 30th April 2017

The meal was in aid of the provision of water & sanitation facilities at Shree Balaranjan Primary School, Majhkot, Syangja, Nepal. Any surplus funds will be applied to school facilities in Nepal.

The meal was be prepared by the Gurkhas and include a curry or lasagna main course.  Vegetarian and Non Curry (meat lasagne) options available.  BYO  wines.

This unique event included a short talk about the Gurkha Soldiers and their 200 years of service to the British Army. 

The Gurkha Dancers will also give a display of their famous Kukhri Dance.

Arranged by the 4 Rotary Clubs of Eccleshall Mercia, Stafford, Stafford Knot & Stafford Castle, with the assistance and kind permission of the Commanding Officer, 248 Queen's Royal  Gurkha Signal Squadron.

A funding contribution also applied for from the Rotary International Foundation Charity.
