Networking & Projects Meeting

Thu, Apr 20th 2017 at 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

This friendly informal group which includes our Corporate and working members meet for networking and to plan upcoming projects. We work closely with Kenilworth School who are corporate members and many of our projects involve the Interact Club

April meeting overview:

The meeting was attended by a dozen people, including James, first time attendee from Warwick University, who is interested in our International work and keen to be involved moving forward.

We were delighted to induct Steve and Sukie from Amred Healthcare into the Club as Corporate Members.

Jim from Kenilworth School gave an update on the Minecraft Competition and 24-hour basketball marathon events planned for later this term.

We discussed charities to support this year with some good suggestions.   Some members expressed an interest in doing something for mental health, especially among the young. Sukie from Amred who also runs a training business working closely with the NHS, expressed interest in taking this forward with other members of the group, ideas to be discussed at our next meeting.

Band Hatton Button have offered to organise another charity quiz for us in the Autumn following on from their successful event last year when we raised £1,600 for local charity iLeap.  More news to follow on this.

Paul passed on a request for 'dragons den' volunteers for the NCS programme for 16 year olds which is running through the summer which will be followed up by our corporate and other members.

These relaxed meetings run on the 3rd Thursday of each month, usually at the Holiday Inn.  Arrival from 5.30pm for networking, meeting starts at 6pm and ends promptly at 7pm.  Guests are always welcome!
