The factory is the country’s leading employment charity for veterans with health conditions or impairments. The factory in Richmond employs around 30 disabled veterans to produce the poppies and wreaths for the Royal Family and The Royal British Legion’s annual Poppy Appeal – something they have been doing since they were founded in 1922.For more information click here.
The tour takes about 2 hours, and I've also arranged to have lunch there before starting around 1pm. We could perhaps arrange to be in Richmond around mid-morning for shopping/refreshments before the lunch and tour. I've also booked a minibus for the day so we can all travel together.
The tour itself is free but the lunch is £9.50/head, and allowing for the cost of transport + parking I would guess it will be about £15/head in total.
Please let me know if you'd like to attend. It's possible we could get more than 16 tickets if there's enough interest, but we'd probably need to book additional places soon before all the places get taken up.
Cheers
Steve
