Primary Schools Quiz 2017

Our annual Primary Schools Quiz was  held on Wednesday 22 February at 6.45 pm in Kirkliston Primary School.

This year's quiz was hosted by last year's winner Kirkliston Primary School in their  new state of the art assembly hall which offered the perfect facilities for such an event. Head Teacher Ms Lynn Paterson welcomed everyone to the school and to the event and a good crowd of family and friends provided welcome support for all the teams. 

It was a very exciting and close-run competition.  There were only 2.5 points between the top 4 teams in the final score, with only 1 point separating the first and second team. This was the closest run Rotary Primary Schools Quiz for many years!  As the winning team, Queensferry Primary School will progress to the Area heats to be held in April or May.

3. Echline 53 and St Margaret's 53

4. Kirkliston 51

President Graham presented the prizes, as well as acting as the technical presenter of the quiz questions.  Chair of Youth Services Jim McCulloch, acted as the quiz facilitator. At the end of the evening, Ms Paterson  congratulated the winning team Queensferry Primary School, and thanked parents and friends for attending and especially the Rotary Club of South Queensferry, for organizing such a well-run and exciting quiz evening.
