There will be prizes for both winning teams, with the Rotary Cup presented to the overall winner, and competitions for individual players including the best 18 hole Stableford score, nearest the pin prizes and longest drive. As before, the team competition will be 18 holes Stableford format (full handicap) for teams of four with the aggregate of best three scores counting for the team score per hole. The cost per player for the day will be £39.00, this year to include coffee on arrival, 18 holes of golf, and two-course lunch.
The format for the day will be
- On Arrival: Coffee (driving range is available for those who want to warm up)
- 10.00am Simultaneous Tee offs on 1st and 10th Tees
- From 3.00pm Two course lunch served in the dining room as players finish.
Prize Presentation will take place as soon as possible after the last team has completed their round.
This is a day providing fun, good Fellowship and close competition. There will be no need for jackets etc. as we like to keep the day as informal and friendly as possible. However, correct golfing attire is necessary while on the course.

This year we will be supporting Pilgrims Hospice. They care for more than 2,300 people each year which will only get larger as years go by. The current cost is £14 million each year and the Hospice has to raise over £11million themselves. They are facing raising costs and it’s becoming increasingly challenging to maintain their facilities and high standards. This is why we wish to support them with our Golf Day. If you cannot come on the day perhaps you could send us a donation to help us present them with an even larger amount. Donations should be made payable to Hythe Rotary Club. Members of the Hospice team will be with us on the day and will be willing to answer any questions you may wish to raise.
