Final meeting at Thorterdykes

Thu, Dec 15th 2016 at 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Meeting of club members

Last  Thursday night's meeting of the Rotary Club was the last at Thorterdykes Roadhouse because of its impending closure in the New Year.  The members held a discussioon on where the club would meet in future and several proposals were discussed but further enquiry will have to be made before a decision is reached.  Gus Neilson reported that the recent Film Night was a great success and £260.07p had been raised for the Rotary Project 'End Polio Now'.  Kerr Scott sought and had the club's approval for a donation of £50 to the Heart of Hawick Children's Book Award.  The club will travel to Langholm on 5th January for the traditional first-foot visit to the Rotary Club and the next meeting at Hawick will be on Thursday, 12th January - somewhere!
The club wishes all their friends and supporters the best of Seasonal Greetings and thank them for their support during the year.
