President Bill Jones welcomed ten other members, including irregular visitor Denis Taylor, who lives in Alloway but retains his membership of the club.

Derek Hall urged members to sell as many tickets as possible for the D-Day Anniversary Concert being run by the club in the Victoria Hall on Tuesday June 6, and was pleased that already nine members had indicated their availability to help on the night.

Gordon Burgess reported on the District 1230 Assembly held at Erskine on Sunday, and said that the District Governor-Elect's theme was "Rotary is making a difference". The District Conference will be held in Clydebank on September 30-October 1.  The meeting was urged to keep supporting the End Polio Now campaign, and it was suggested that every club should have a Facebook page.

Community Service convener Bill Deans said that Parklands School, which has had an 11% increase in intake, is hoping to buy some specialised laptops/tablets suitable for use by the pupils. They cost £281 each, and it was agreed that the club should donate £562 to buy two.

The weekly raffle for a whisky miniature was won by Derek Hall.
