Presentation by Dr Marit Boot on her charity What? Why? Children in Hospital (WWCIH)

Dr. Marit Boot gave an excellent and moving presentation on the charity that she founded in January 2015 to help children and their parents address and resolve any fears they had and still have about their child facing an MRI, EEG, CT, Echo or ECG scan.

In partnership with the NHS, her charity provides videos that are easy to watch and explain in very simple terms what will happen during a scan and how simple and pain free they are.

So successful are they and how great the demand is for this approach, the charity's videos have been watched over 350,000 times on YouTube in the UK, US and 156 other countries.

97% of all charitable donations pay for production of videos and the remaining 3% on Governance costs. Nothing goes to the volunteers who help provide this service.

The vidoes can be watched via their website www.whatwhychildreninhospital.org.uk
