Alan Bowie was pleased to introduce Susanne Smith. Susanne is a past-captain of Old Ranfurly Golf Club, but in an earlier life she had been a cabin steward with British Airways for 23 years after which she qualified as a driving instructor, an occupation more suited to bringing up her family. She entertained us with both amusing and harrowing tales of her time with BA and more recently with some of her less able/intelligent driving pupils, concluding that her current occupation was more hazardous than her airborne one. After many questions, Peter Dickie thanked Susanne for a most entertaining and informative talk, a sentiment endorsed by all present.
