On B915, 3 miles north of Dunfermline 
Approach from M90 exit J4 (Kelty) taking B915, westerly direction, then bear left on B915, in about 0.5m, enter Scottish Bus Museum on right  

Start 

M90 Commerce Park KY12 0SJ Scottish Bus Museum  On start, exit Commerce Part and turn right onto B 915 and proceed south. Turn Right
Turn 1 On B915  At road junction bear left on to road towards Bowershall Look for "cycle route sign" immediately over bridge Turn

Stay on main road towards Townhill

Turn 2  At 30mph sign at entrance to Townhill Take right turn before entering
Townhill, up on to cycle path 
Look for "blue sign" cycle path on right. Turn Right
Turn 3  From cycle path bear right down to
Scottish National Water Ski Centre 
Take 2nd path down to right  Follow "Cycle Event sign" round north side of water ski loch to reach check point at Water Ski Centre. Bear Right

Riders to drop checks at Check Point.

 

Turn 4 Leave Ski Centre  Go round loch by path  Bear Right back up on to cycle route and follow path to junction with Whitefield Road

    Turn right on to Whitefield Road (at Cycle route sign Dunfermline 1.5 miles)

Turn 5 Down Whitefield Road to opposite Queen Margaret Railway  Station. Down hill past Queen Margaret Hospital using cycle path on right side of Whitefield Road In about 0.7 mile, you will see "cycle sign" saying Town centre /Oakley on right, on to cycle path and follow through style into town centre.

Turn 6  End of cycle path  At end of cycle path, bear left hand side through car park  Bear left, go through car park, past Scout Hut, turn left at "cycle" sign , and go to pedestrian crossing to cross main road using lights.

Turn 7 At Pedestrain crossing    Over crossing turn right (look for cycle sign) and cycle on public park paths, over the bridge crossing dual carriageway.

Turn 8 At end of bridge over road    Turn left, at end of bridge, go past awing park and at bottom, follow on to Comely Park. (name of street).

  Progress along Comely Park into Priory Lane. Then at the end bear right at Andrew Carnegie's Birthplace.

Turn 9 At Carnegie Birthplace  Bear up to right pass birthplace. Take care crossing over and up pass Birthplace

Turn 10 At half way up St Margaret's Street

Dunfermline Abbey on your right

At first street on left.

Up St Margaret's Street, about half way, turn left into Monastry Street, then through Abbey Pends (note no car traffic , blocked by bollards) on to Kirk Gate.

    At City Chambers, turn left ,on to Bridge Street, and enter Dunfermline Glen by main gates (Carnegie Gates).

In Dunfermline Glen , beside Andrew Carnegie Statue  Head down left from Marshall point at Andrew Carnegie statue to roped start point for exit out of Glen. Exit will be by roped off path , down to bottom Glen gate (at Junction of Milton Gardens and Elgin Street /Netherton Broad Street)
Turn 11 At bottom of Glen  To exit Glen, go down roped path  At Bottom Glen gates, exit and bear left,

Turn 12    At Crossing Point Cross road using crossing point. Then bear left up to traffic lights, turn right down Elgin Street.

Turn 13  At bottom of Grange road at start of Rosyth  Turn right on to cycle path  After going down Elgin street , you leave Dunfermline on Grange Road , and proceed to "give way sign " at start of Rosyth. Then Turn Left onto Primrose Lane

Turn 14 At the end of Primrose Lane

Go along to end of Primrose lane and turn up left at main road (Queensferry Road).

At end of Primrose Lane , turn left back in dir ection of Dunfermline, dismount before reaching end if busy and use  pedestrian crossing to cross road.

After Crossing main road turn right back to Rosyth

Turning back in direction of Rosyth after using crossing

Head down towards roundabout, go straight on down B980 RN Rosyth . Follow Ferry signs down Kings Road.

Turn 16 At Bottom  of Kings Road

At bottom of Kings Road dismount and go left to pedestrian crossing

Cross A985 and take Castle road in southerly direction to ferry port

straight on

Turn 18 At Roundabout on Castle Road  Carry straight on, in direction Dockyard
