About Little Havens
Little Havens is a fabulous little charity supporting families across Essex.
At Little Havens we care for children between the ages of 0 and 19 with life limiting illnesses. We are the only children's hospice in Essex, currently caring for approx. 150 families, supporting not only the child, but the whole family. Many families benefit from respite care at Little Havens, which are planned breaks giving the family some time to stay with us and not have to worry about medical care as this is all done by our care team, the family can enjoy spending some time 'as a family'.
We also offer end of life care, which is of course very sad, but when we are only given a short time with a loved one, it is so important to make every moment count, and towards the end of life helping to provide a dignified death.
We like to adopt the words of Dame Cicely Saunders (the founder of the hospice movement) "You matter because you are you, and you matter to the last moment of your life. We will do all we can, not only to help you die peacefully, but also to live until you die."

The Rotary Club of Brightlingsea & District was formed in 1960 and has undertaken a wide range of activities to raise money to support local community charities and also global projects sponsored by Rotary International.

A fun event for all the family held over a beautiful easy four mile course through country lanes and along the seawall. All funds raised go to Essex Air Ambulance
