Witney topped the other 57 Rotary Clubs in District 1090 to win The Malcolm Bodington Plate for the support shown to the Rotary Foundation in 2015-16.
Announcing the winning entry District Foundation Chair Karen Eveleigh described the winning formula:
"For the club with the greatest contributions to and support of The Rotary Foundation.
Clubs eligible for this prize have contributed an average of $100/head each year for the last 3 years to the Rotary Foundation Annual Programmes Fund, and an average of $1,500/year to the End Polio Now campaign.
In addition, the winning club has taken part in district grant funded projects, supported the district’s vocational training team, hosted scholars, and has sustaining members who give regularly to the Annual Programmes Fund"
