SHOWTUNE; CELEBRATING THE WORDS AND MUSIC OF JERRY HERMAN

Weaving together songs from eight of his musicals to bring a fresh perspective to these classic musical standards, SHOWTUNE is a delicious smorgasbord of vintage Jerry Herman show-stoppers taking you through a life cycle of emotions.

Life-affirming songs with humanity, belief in love and unquenchable optimism enveloped in genuine warmth which transcends reality - a good old-fashioned dollop of schmaltz, Uplifting and fun, incorporating hit song after hit song, SHOWTUNE celebrates Herman’s words and music from such memorable shows as Hello, Dolly!, Mame,  Mack and Mabel, and La Cage Aux Folles.

Master of the songs-you-can-hum school, Herman’s numbers are a beguiling reminder that we need straightforward, easily singable melodies now more than ever. This revue is sure to please audiences, young and old alike, with its catchy melodies, toe-tapping music and its witty, knowing lyrics.  UPI called SHOWTUNE, "Two hours of pure delight"! and Time Out said "Revue musicals don't come better than this!"

With  a new STRICTLY SONGTIME line-up of Anne Diack, Geraldine McDade, Aileen Scott Johnson, Matthew Brown, Greig WW Hill, Ian McInnes and Iain Rowbotham
