2003 Community Service Award
The Rotary Club of West Fife again provided support for the Woodmill High School's Award evening. Our award is normally presented to the pupil for his or her work in the community service category.
In thanking us for our support the Rector of Woodmill High School, Michael J Gilmour, said in his letter "It was very difficult to single out one individual who contributed more than any other: the S6 achievements were marked by a high degree of teamwork and group effort"..."the decision was taken, therefore that the S6 Charities group would be awarded the Rotary Club of West Fife Award".
They set up a new record raising £4500 during the year. He went on to say "Over the past ten years, Woodmill seniors have raised £25,000 and I think that this is a significant reminder that the present generation is just as caring and community-minded as any of its predecessors."
