Helen Cobley

I am newly retired after a career of 43 years in healthcare, both clinical and managerial. I finished my career as CEO of a professional organisation for specialist dentists. I moved back to Ilkley last year and loving it! My hobbies include singing - member of 2 singing groups in Ilkley - cooking, walking, long distance cycling and skiing. I share my home with Luna, a beautiful black Labrador who keeps me fit and always entertained!

Taught French, took up Antiquesan interest in antiques and had a shop in Otley for several years. That led to freelance writing as a self￾employed journalist, writer and translator. I am a full member of the NUJ. I was President of the Club Francophone du Wharfedale for many years and I now chair the Ilkley-Coutances Twinning Association and the Ilkley Arts Federation
