Project ALO Part 1 Rotary Club of Salt Lake Central, India

The Project Site is at Village Basudebpur, PS Shyamnagar, District North 24 Parganas and the school is Happy Days School.


 

Module 2: Already financed. Arranging the Water Supply from the Municipality, and installing an overhead tank, pipelines, Drinking Water Filter, and Dispensation System for use of the students, teachers, staff, and parents/guardians.

 

Status on 9 July was:

 

 Municipality Water Supply arranged

 

 Overhead Tank Pipe Lines Installed and Connected

 

 Drinking Water Filtration System and Dispensing Taps Installed

 Sink under the Dispensing Taps to be constructed to complete the Module by 07.08.2016.

 

Module 3: Renovation, and extension of the existing toilet, to create two separate, sanitized toilets for men and women. This module includes waste water drainage and disposal.

 

Status on 9 July was:

 New Girls’ and Boys’ Toilet Construction Plan has been drawn up for better space utilization.

 Construction work for the new Toilet Block has been commenced. Although progress is affected to some extent due to the Monsoon rains, construction is expected to be completed by 31.10.2016.

 Awaiting Quotations from Contractors for Drainage and Disposal Channels. Construction to commence shortly, and Module to be completed by 31.10.2016.

 

Module 4: Repairing, and replacing (wherever necessary), and painting of school desks, black boards, other study aids, school uniforms, school bags, and shoes to start the first session of nursery, and kindergarten classes.

Status on 9 July 2016:

 Repair/Replacement Work is in progress

 Module is to be completed by 31.08.2016.

 

 

Module 5: Building a brick fence wall on the front of the site facing the road, along with installation of a Gate.

Status on 9th July 2016

 Wall and Gate construction completed. Painting to be done in October after the Monsoon season.
