Lend with Care

A progress report on this project to provide micro-finance to entrepreneurs in developing countries

Club members please log in for more information.

It is about 18 months since we made £300 available for investment through Lend with Care. Last Cristmas we added a further £320 from members' donations in lieu of sending Christmas cards.  Since then we have made 31 loans to a total of 85 entrepreneurs. By reinvesting the repayments as they come in we have lent a total of £1524.24, this has supported 228 families and helped to create 23 new businesses.  Remarkably there has not been a single default in repayment of the loans.  This is a great initiative with great value from a relatively small investment which can be constantly rotated.  Thanks to Ken Johnson for all his hard work in administering this.
