Finchale at Tatton Park - 2006

Your Web Reporter just happened to be at the RHS Flower Show at Tatton Park in July 2006 and was proud to see that the show garden presented by Finchale College (one of the local charities we support) had won a silver medal. The crowds round the garden made photography difficult, but because it was so wonderful, I could not resist showing some photos here.

The garden was an oasis of cool and colour, with amazing water features powered entirely by solar energy - hence the title "Energy Oasis". It was designed by staff and students and was constructed by students from across the College - electrical, woodworking, building, as well as horticultural. A great team effort!
