President Bill Jones chaired the meeting and welcomed nine other rotarians. He also gave an update on the Six Clubs dinner arranged for tomorrow night at Cairndow.
A total of 17 are booked, ten from our club, five from Helensburgh Garelochside, and Assistant District Governor Danny Chundoo and his wife Joan.
Bill Deans reported that the committee service had met and was hoping to arrange a wine-tasting evening as a fundraiser for the club's local youth activities such as RYLA. The Commodore Hotel and the Yacht Club are being considered for Friday November 18 or 25.
Adam Muggoch reported that the date for the Young Chefs competition was October 25, but its timing means that it will not clash with the Board meeting arranged for that evening.
The weekly draw for the whisky miniature was won by Lesley Kennedy and the monthly draw for the whisky bottle was won by Derek Hall.
