Quayside Judo Club black belt assistant
coach Samuel Westlake is qualifying as full a Level 2 judo coach, at a
cost of several hundred pounds. To the rescue: Kingsbridge Estuary Rotary Club,
which recognized the value of judo coaching to the town's youngsters.
"I've been active in judo since the age of seven, winning the British Schools Judo Championships in my teens, and running the
Durham University team while at university." says Samuel, "A Level 2 coaching
qualification is a way of putting something back into judo, but isn't
cheap -- there's the £425 course fee, plus travel to Bath over two
weekends. The help from Rotary will make a big difference.".

Rotary Club's Robin Rose-Price and its president Peter Lee.
