A talk by Rtn. Colin Watson of the Blyth Club

We started today's meeting with the pleasurable task of awarding Paul Harris Fellowships to representatives of two of our favoured charities - Ros Collinson of Down's Syndrome North East and Pat Hill of the Mid Durham Projects Club.

We then enjoyed an excellent presentation by Colin Watson, the International Service Chairman of the Blyth Rotary Club, on the Lake Wamala Project, initiated by Colin and the Blyth Club. This project is intended to provide clean water and sanitation facilities in the Mityana district of Uganda.  It is being supported by a number of Clubs within the District as well as our Club - and the local Club in Uganda. More details in the slide-show above.
