TUESDAY, 28TH JUNE, 2016
 ****************************************************
Yorkshire Heart is a family run Vineyard & Brewery based in Nun Monkton, The Vineyard, Pool Lane, Y026 8EW situated between Harrogate & York along the A59 after Green  Hammerton towards York, turning left just before the Texaco Garage on the rightand with the Vineyard some 2 miles from the A59 turn off just before entering the village on the right hand side. We will put a ROTARY SIGN UP !!!!!!
We propose to meet at 6.30pm for a start at 7pm with an Arrival Drink of their Gold Award Winning Sparkling White Wine, then a Guided Tour by the Owners Chris & Gillian Spakouskas of the beautiful Vineyard followed  by a tasting of their Rose Wine, 2 White Wines & 2 Red Wines all served with delicious nibbles and along with a selection of their craft beers for the beer lovers to enjoy with lovely light refreshments.
Following the tasting we  will enjoy a one course dinner all for a total cost of £20.00 and you are invited to bring guests to join us, Ladies are invited to join us and an invitation has been extended to Inner Wheel.
I have visited the venue today and it looks an excellent place to enjoy an excellent evening which a Wedding Party experienced yesterday at a Wedding which was held there.
Yorkshire Heart Vineyard was started in 2006 with the planting of 1000 vines initially in just one acre which each succeeding year has seen 1000 to 3000 vines added. They now have 17,000 vines over 10 acres of land. The vast majority of their original yineyard are hybrid grapes that have been bred for Northern Europe which is one of the reasons they  give for making their Award Winning Wine.
The Yorkshire Heart winery now proudly produces three wine white & three red wines as well as their sparkling rose and their Gold Medal Sparkling White.
We will need to have firm numbers for Tuesday Night’s meeting as I have to let them have them for Friday and we are limited to 30 persons.
Kind regards
Bernard
