Rotary Shoebox Scheme

Rotary Shoebox Scheme helps disadvantaged children and households across the world

This year, in conjuction with Dalkeith High School, the club has started a project to help support the Rotary Shoebox Scheme. The club buys flat packed "shoeboxes" which are distributed to pupils, Rotarians and friends of Rotary who then fill the boxes with toys for children or gifts for adults or household items. As a club we save up the boxes until we have sufficent numbers. The boxes are then taken by us to a central depot from where they are shipped all over the world. At the start of December 2015, we took 286 boxes to the depot. They were then shipped to Ukraine in time for Christmas. We are continuing to fill the boxes, the next big shipping date is Easter. If you are interested in filling a box, please contact us through the email link below, or through our Facebook page!
