The Club welcomed guest Martin King who has moved to Culross about 9 months ago and was brought along by member Keith Davison.
Brian Duncan a computer expert of 35 years was the evening’s speaker. Brian specialises on the creation of websites and was very instrumental in the creation of the superb PARS (Dunfermline Athletic F C) site that has 40 million hits a year. The club have been considering holding a Silent Auction to raise funds for charitable purposes and Brian gave a very fulsome and interesting presentation about the development of web sites This being at a very early stage he intimated that the club would require to put a lot of thought into this and provide a great deal of information for him to assist us. Clearly it is possible but a great deal of thought and work at this early stage will be required for potentially tremendous benefits. It is not just creating the website, possibly the easy part of this project, but how do you operate the Silent Auction and indeed get the items for auction, all food for thought.
The VOT was eloquently delivered by Ian Grieve.
