Tree of Light

Tue, Dec 8th 2015 at 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

.

Once again, the Rotary Club of Bakewell will this year be offering people a chance to remember lost loved ones at Christmas time: often a very poignant time of year.

At 7 p.m., on Tuesday 8th December 2015, a Tree of Light will be lit in Bath Gardens, Bakewell. This year we will have Christmas music provided by Cressbrook Brass Band and will be offering mulled wine and mince pies. Please come and join us for a pleasant winter evening in the centre of Bakewell.

The Tree will remain lit until Twelfth Night, 2016.

Whilst first and foremost the Tree of Light is for people to commemorate the lives of loved ones, it will also help to raise much needed funds for Rotary Club President Mike Webb’s chosen local charities - Ashgate Hospice and Bluebell Wood Hospice.

People are invited to dedicate the lights to a loved one in exchange for a donation. Lives remembered will be displayed in a Book of Remembrance from Wednesday 9th December up to Twelfth Night in the foyer of Bakewell Town Hall during opening hours and also on the Rotary Club of Bakewell’s website - www.bakewellrotary.org
