Richard Parkinson writes:
"Our trip to the JCB factory at Rocester near Utoxeter is approaching.
"We are having a one course lunch at the Duncombe Arms at Ellastone before our factory tour and as time will be quite limited we need to pre-order from a choice of three items which are:
  • 8oz burger, salad, cheese, bacon and skinny fries
  • Battered fish, triple cooked chips and mushy peas
  • Sausage, mash, roasted chantenay carrots and red wine gravy
"I should be grateful if you would let me know your choice as soon as possible. I will put a sheet round the club next week but if you will not be there could you let me know by email please.

"The itinerary for the day is as follows:
  • • 09.30 depart by coach from the car park for Hunsbury Hill Country Park in Hunsbury Hill Road (NN4 9RR). We will stop for coffee if time permits at Donnington Park Services if time and traffic permit.
  • • 12.00 Duncombe Arms, Ellastone
  • • 13.00 JCB tour commences
  • • 15.30 Depart for Northampton
  • • 17.30 Arrive Northampton
"I would remind you that the tour includes approximately 3 miles of walking, some of which will no doubt be in the open air, so dress appropriately."
