Business and EGM

The Rotary Club of South Queensferry held a business meeting in the Hawes Inn on Thursday 7th April. This was followed by an extraordinary general meeting in which honorary members were re-elected and the club council and committee convenors for Rotary Year 2016-17 were elected. Both meetings were chaired by president elect Graham Leith.

On Saturday 9th April, a team from the Rotary Club of South Queensferry manned a stand at the Queensferry Heritage 'Showcase Queensferry' exhibition in Rosebery Hall. Intended to present Queensferry's cultural, historic, environmental and voluntary groups and organisations to the general public, particularly new residents, the event drew considerable interest from locals and passers-by alike. Rotary President Elect Graham Leith said: 'We had a great time. Not only did we have the chance to promote Rotary, but also the opportunity to meet representatives of many other service organisations interested in conserving and improving Queensferry.'
