2015 Rotary Shoebox Appeal
Children from Gargunnock, Riverside and Alan's Primary schools helped fill shoeboxes for the Rotary Club of Stirling's annual shoebox appeal. The boxes were collected from the schools during the week and taken to the Rotary Shoebox depot in Perth where they will be distributed by lorries to families in Eastern Europe. The gift of a shoebox that contains toys, toiletries, educational items or household goods is a drop of happiness to the people of Eastern Europe who live in a world of poverty. For many, it will be the first present that they have received and it lets them know that somebody, somewhere cares.
The attached picture has children from Riverside Primary School helping Rotary member Stewart Wilson with some of the boxes that they had donated.
