The Rotary Club of West Fife held its 10th annual charity quiz for BBC Children in Need and Rotary charities at East End Park on Friday 13 December. The Ultimate Quiz invites teams of four to compete for a £400 prize and winners trophy and this year 17 teams entered. There is also a prize trophy for the team raising the most sponsorship. This years winners, once again, was The Rotary Club of Inverkeithing Dalgety Bay (pictured above). The team with the most sponsorship was 'Universally Challenged' entered by local firm Riddell Project Management which raised almost £500. Once again the event was a big success, raising a total of £4,000 before Gift Aid. Organiser Tom Pettigrew said 'The Ultimate Quiz is a fun night with a serious purpose - raising funds for disadvantaged children and other needy groups. We plan to run the event again next year on the same night as Children in Need 2016.'

The atmosphere of Rotarians and ladies working efficiently with good humour, for Children in need set the Club 'alight' at the Quiz. A fire alert will make the event memorable !! The competitors were well aware of the input of hard work by Tom and the entire team. Raffle prizes and drinks were whisked down the aisle by the Ladies. The m/c, Greig Hill, bantered the night away wonderfully. Despite the lengthy delay in rain and cold winds after evacuating the building, everyone returned inside to finish the evening and thanked us for another enjoyable evening. Huge credit goes to Tom Pettigrew, and our Club should feel justly proud of another success, raising more than £4,000 + Gift Aid.

Working together in 'hands- on' events, for worthy causes, is attractive to potential members and a feature we should foster highly in our Club to keep it strong.
