We principally raise funds through running public events rather than directly from our members. We are proud to say that 100% of the funds raised are returned to good causes. We give funds primarily to local causes where our support can make a difference. We also contribute to national and international appeals.

Reading Abbey Rotary Club Charity donation

The Churches in Reading Drop in Centre CIRDIC received a donation of £3,400, which was raised at the eight annual Reading Abbey Rotary club 10k run held at Englefield Estate. The event in August 27th was attended by over 350 runners and supported by local businesses and organisations.

The Rotary club was pleased to support CIRDIC which operates from St Saviours Church in Reading and provides a welcoming place offering food clothing and a wide range of support services to the homeless and disadvantaged in Reading. Club President Colin Maclean visited the centre and was given a guided tour by manager Mabel Boyd who thanked both Colin and the club for the most generous donation.
