£500 FOR REFUGEE AID

On Thursday 1st October, President Kate Gibb chaired a business meeting of the Rotary Club of South Queensferry. Secretary Alan Brown announced that, in light of the worsening eastern Mediterranean and middle-eastern refugee crises and bearing in mind Rotary's non-political and non-religious stance, Council recommended the club donate £500 raised by the club's stewarding activities at Hopetoun Horse Trials to Medecins Sans Frontiers, the non-aligned medical charity providing humanitarian assistance throughout the area. The proposal was warmly approved by the club.
