Interact Club (St Mary's Special School)

The Club is a service and social club for young people, ages 12-18.  The Club is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Senlac.  Organisation follows the same principles as Rotary International with the Offices of President, President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer and Committee Chairmen.  Committees are formed, e.g., International, Community and Social.  Valuable leadership and teamwork skills are developed within the Club.  The Club is governed and registered by a Charter issued by District 1120 on Thursday, 4th February, 2010.  All Interact Members belong to an excellent vehicle to demonstrate good citizenship and international understanding. 

Mr David King has for many years ran a very successful Interact Club at St Mary’s Special School. They have their own committee and president, they meet every month at the school where fund raising events and a wide variety of activities are organised including the Christmas Love in a Box and a local beach clean. Interesting speakers are also invited in to attend meetings on a regular basis.
