Commemorating the Kilmarnock Edition of the Works of Robert Burns


On Sunday 26th July dignitaries laid flowers at the statue of Robert Burns at The Cross in Kilmarnock near to the location where the Kilmarnock Edition of the Works of Robert Burns was published.

At the Commemoration, organised by Kilmarnock Howff and Kilmarnock No O Burns Clubs, flowers were laid by Chief Executive Fiona Lees, Jim Thomson, President of the Robert Burns World Federation and Presidents of Burns Clubs Across Ayrshire. 

Rotarian Elizabeth Weir laid flowers on behalf of The Rotary Club of Kilmarnock and Rotarian Bryce Weir laid flowers as President of Ayr Burns Club. (3rd and 4th from the left in the Picture)

Charlie Boax, who attends Grange Academy, was the winner of our local Rotary Young Musician competition. On Sunday, 23 April 2023, Charlie competed in the RIGBI Young Musician Final in Manchester and was again successful.
