District Governor Visits the Rotary Club of Llanidloes

President Peter McCready welcomed District Governor Chris Sumner to this week's business meeting.  Peter explained the clubs busy schedule over the last few weeks highlighting the presentation of Dictionary4Life's to the pupils of Llanidloes School on the 08th July.  This was followed by our Concert in the Park on the 10th July where over 160 locals attended making the evening a success.  The next day was Llanidloes Carnival where the Rotary held their annual raffle, this was won by Pat Hughes with second prize going to Janet Williams.  The second presentation of Dictionary4Life's was made on the 16th July to the pupils of Trefeglwys School rounding off this busy period.  The Rotary will take a break next week and enjoy sampling some wine at their Presidents away day with a trip to Kerry Vale Vineyard, Nr Churchstoke.  Looking forward, the Rotary Club of Llanidloes have confirmed the booking of the world famous Treorchy Male Voice Choir who will visit Llanidloes on the 05th March 2016.  Tickets will have to be limited and will go on sale at the Christmas light switch on which will be the evening of Saturday 28th November 2015.  Also Rotarian John Selwyn Smith has agreed to help raise funds for the Noah's Ark Appeal at an art sale he is holding in the old Llanidloes Midland Bank Chambers over the weekend 07th & 08th August 2015, all are welcome to call in and support this event.
