Ale & Arty - Sat 5th Sept evening

Sat, Sep 5th 2015 at 7:00 pm - 10:30 pm

Performance by The Chanderliers and The Deep Sea Drivers. Tickets £8

Great music and real ale  supporters  will enable Bexhill Rotary Club to make significant donations to  St Michaels Hospice, Bexhill Caring Community, the 1066 Specials and Homecall this year, following another successful charity Beer Festival at The De La Warr Pavilion on the 4th and 5th of September

The Bexhill Rotary Club members who organise the Ale & Arty festival wish to say a big thank you to the hundreds of people that supported this event. The Club also wish to thank all the volunteers, the bands, the wonderful staff at the DLWP and the barrel sponsors who have enabled Bexhill Rotary to continue its support of these charities and other local good causes.

A special mention should also be given to the band members of Loose Ends who played at the Saturday lunch time session for free.

The beers and ciders were better than ever this year and the wide selection was praised by the enthusiastic real ale fans which included, amongst their number, members of the local branch of The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).

Franklins, our local brewery, with their “Mama Knows Best” and “NZIPA” were amongst the most popular beers. The ciders and perrys from Middle Farm were also appreciated by the visitors who seemed to think Mr Norman Hancock’s 6% Dry Devonshire Cider was just the thing to wet the pallet.

The final session on Saturday evening was very busy with fans of all ages enjoying the happy atmosphere, the ales and great music from The Chandeliers and The Deep Sea Drivers.

Rotary and all those local business sponsors that supported the festival are looking to welcoming everyone to Ale & Arty in the future.
