Kerr Scott: Colin Donnelly - Fell running

Thu, Aug 13th 2015 at 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Weekly meeting with guest speaker

Four visitors appeared at last week's meeting of the Rotary Club.  Harald Willner, Kingston-upon-Thames and Jim McPherson, Alison Bayles and Alan Hall from the Selkirk club were welcomed by President Mairhi Trickett.  The speaker Colin Donnelly gave an interesting insight into his sport of hill/fell running in which he has been enthusiastically dedicated for a long number of years.  He described the various venues, races and competitions he had taken part in as well as running for personal enjoyment.  He has won many races and trophies and won the famous Ben Nevis race in a record time of 1 hour 25 minutes.  His talk generated many questions after which he was warmly thanked by Kerr Scott.
