Every day the Air Ambulance crew provides an efficient, prompt response to road traffic collisions, sporting accidents, collapses and many other incidents throughout Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland.  The Rotary Club of Shepshed Charnwood recently visited the charity's base in Kegworth to make a donation to the running of the service.

Kerry Martin, head of retail operations, said:  “We are extremely grateful to the Rotary Club for all their hard work fundraising for us, and delighted to be presented with the cheque.  Each mission that we run costs around £1,700, and the charity receives no government funding, so the money they raised can go straight to helping save lives.”

Rotary President David Hayes said:  "Thanks must go to the generous support received from all of the local community.  Without their donations for our events we would not be able to help such worthwhile organisations."
