Community Volunteers

Information on how YOU can help US help YOUR local community

We're For Communities Logo

A group of ordinary people from around the Rugeley area having a good time whilst working for communities.  As you look at the web site, you will see a range of activities that we do:

  • Collecting tents at V-fest
  • Collecting used spectacles from local people for rcycling
  • Providng free blood pessure checks to help prevent stroke and life threatening diseases
  • Helping us with our support of Brereton Community Library

Of course, we mustn't forget Santa's Sleigh in partnership with Rugeley Lions.  The look of delight on the children's faces - pure magic.

On the international front, Rotary clubs have been instrumental in the drive to eradicate polio.  We really are "this close". (For more information visit www.endpolio.org)

Do you want help your local community too but are unsure how.  Well why not come and meet us at one of our informal drop in sessions, or contact us on Facebook - Rugeley Rotary.  You can have a chat and find out about our new programme for community volunteers. No membership commitment required, just bundles of enthusiasm and ideas for working to help our local communities in and around Rugeley.  Of course ou may even want to join the club or ask us about how we can support your local community group or charity.

Keep up to date with what we are doing by following us on Facebook - Rugeley Rotary. We are currently working on one very exciting project that will require community volunteers in the area specifically aimed at the local community so keep watching on Facebook for developments.
