TONY GODDEN

 

  • Born and brought up in Swansea
  • Member of the Dylan Thomas Society of Great Britain
  • Developed his appreciation of the work of Dylan Thomas at Grammar School where he was taught A level English by a teacher who had been at school with Dylan
  • Has appeared in productions of Under Milk Wood and taught the play to A level students. In 2010 Tony adapted and produced a staged reading of Dylan Thomas play Under Milk Wood for the Edinburgh Welsh Society
  • Is a self-confessed Dylan Thomas fanatic. Kelly knows that whenever he visits Swansea he will come home with at least two new books on Dylan
  • Tony has shared his passion for the work of Dylan Thomas by giving talks on, and readings of, Dylan's works since 2002
  • Tony has  two regrets in life:- first, that he did not play rugby for Wales and second, that he cannot begin to match the genius of Dylan Thomas as a writer
