The Mayor and her Consort - with Bodyguard and the President

The new Mayor was also accompanied by one of her Bodyguard - our own trusted treasurer Alan Ribchester - seen here with President David.

Councillor Blakey gave a short address, thanking us for inviting her to our meeting to continue the long-held tradition of "Mayoral" visits early in their year of office.  She also announced that her chosen charity is the Durham Trinity School and Sports College.  This is a wonderful place for young people aged 2-19 with a range of special educational needs.  We wll be happy to include this as a headline charity at our Annual Swimathon in November.
