A visit to Raby Castle with his family a number of years ago sparked member John Hurst's interest in this almost forgotten "daughter of Durham".  Cecily was part of the Neville dynasty which is so fundamental to the history of Durham.  John’s enthusiasm and knowledge was infectious and host Mel French – an equally enthusiastic historian – gave us further information in a vote of thanks that became a supplementary presentation.  A most enjoyable and informative meeting.
