Not just a routine business meeting:

The chairmen of the Community and International committees presented their proposals for the distribution of our charity funds - a total of over £30,000.  We were happy to agree to these proposals

We also agreed on the "headline" charities for the 2015 Swimathon - the Great North Air Ambulance and Smile for a Child, in addition to the incoming Mayor's charities.  A few weeks ago, we were deeply impressed by the presentation from the founder of Smile for a Child.
