Rotary is set to reel for charity
Sun 8th March 2015
The Dunfermline Strathspey & Reel Society and The Rotary Club of West Fife will hold a charity concert on Thursday 26th March.
There can be fewer better fits when it comes to forming a partnership to benefit local charities. The Dunfermline Strathspey & Reel Society and The Rotary Club of West Fife will hold a charity concert on Thursday 26th March 2015 from 7.00 until 9.00pm.
The Reel Society is giving this concert at the Dell Farquharson Centre, Dunfermline as part of their preparations for their 'Silver Jubilee Rally' to be held later this year. Rehearsals are held every Thursday evening in the Dell Farquharson Centre and the Rotary Club has been given access to a special performance led by Conductor Ron Smith.
The West Fife Club's President Ewan Archibald is a long time accordion player with the Society and he has co-ordinated this fund raising opportunity. The Society boasts thirty playing and four non - playing members. Ewan is one of five members of the original society still playing with the orchestra and for Ron Smith the Silver Jubilee concert will be his 25th year conducting the Annual Fiddlers Rally.
Tickets are £5 each or pay on door. (Up to two children entry free, when accompanied by a paying adult). Tickets can be reserved by contacting Ewan on 01383 726654.
