Rotary's 'Masterchef' Competition

The local area finals of Young Chef were held on 26 January at Wycombe High School. This is a joint project run by the Rotary Clubs of High Wycombe & Marlow. Seven schools had entered the heats & there were 11 finalists. Each were given two hours to prepare a 3-course meal within a set budget, and results were judged by chef David Hill from the King William IV in Speen. Tremendous enthusiasm was shown by all of the contestants, standards were very high and a very enjoyable evening was had by everyone that attended.

President of the Rotary Club of High Wycombe, Malcolm Peckham, presented the prizes. The winner was Joanna Freeman from the Beaconsfield school; Ania Dobosz from Princes Risborough school was placed second & Polly Wright from Wycombe High school was placed third.
