Bradford Rotary Club gets new President

On Friday 3 July at the annual presidential change over, Alan Rogers, a former Bradford Highways Engineer, took over as President of the Rotary Club of Bradford. In doing so he became the 94th President of the Club which was founded in 1922. Alan thanked the outgoing President, Manoj Joshi, for all his hard work which has seen the club increase its membership to 38 during the course of the year and raise over £14,000 the majority of which went to local Bradford charities. Addressing the 32 people present at the meeting Alan expressed his interest in the club doing more to help broaden the horizons of local Bradford youngsters. To that end he hopes to continue the Club’s partnership with Bradford Academy together with some new initiatives he has in mind. He made a particular plea to anyone interested in giving their time to assist young people on a charitable basis to consider contacting the Club to see if their interests and ours could be brought together. Anyone interested should contact us via our website. (put “Rotary Club of Bradford 182”into your search engine and then follow the contact links.)
