In the Rotary Young Photographer Competition this year, Thomas Snowdon again took first place in the Stokesley Rotary Club heat and went on to the District (Rotary NorthEast) finals.
As a talent, and an art form, Rotary GB&I celebrates the photographic skills of thousands of young people with a sequence of competitions that give them the chance to demonstrate and display just what they can produce. The digital camera has revolutionised the photographic world with instant results and the end of the concept that the camera never lies. Every year, we see more and more entries for Rotary GB&I Young Photographer, each submitting a portfolio of photographs into the final. The photographs can be black and white or colour and on photographic quality paper no larger than A4 size plus a digital copy on disc. In addition, each entrant must provide a description of the inspiration for their photographs and how they reflect the theme in no more than 50 words
