Judy's job talk - at Bowburn Hall for this meeting.

We enjoyed a well presented and informative talk from Judy.

Born and brought up in Kidderminster, she attended the High School for Girls there before training to be a teacher.  She met her husband-to-be in her first school and enjoyed a successful career, ending up as Deputy Head of a primary school in New Mills, Derbyshire.  It was in New Mills that her "Rotary credentials" became apparent as she was heavily involved with the volunteer centre there.  After the death of her husband she decided to move further north, to Durham, to be near her son and his family.  Then serendipity stepped in, in the form of the cousin of one of Judy's life-long friends is Clive Beddoes, a member of the Durham Bede Club and Clive introduced her to our Club where she was immediately welcomed.  As Judy said, joining the family of Rotary has made the move north so much easier and she has a whole new circle of friends.
